The cult of Osiris in the solar path has merged with the Amarna form of the worship of the sun god as the life-giving solar disk at the center of the pharaohs. Amarna or Osiriakus is a deliberately created symbol to distinguish it from the traditional tomb image of Osiris the nighttime image of the Hager festival of Abydos. Furthermore the image of Osiris born from the sun as Ra and reborn on the eighth day of the month of Hager signifies the stability of the terrestrial universe.
